I know youve seen this over a hundred times, but can you tell me what programs you used?

this one in perticuler was doen using adobe image ready, which is now a defunct program because it was merged with photoshop cs2 and above i belive

well this IS experamental, and it was a horrible failure lol, you eve rheard of rpg maker ? you take one of their sprite sets and you use them to creat the aniamtion in eithe rimage reayd or fotoshop cs2 an dhigher

I'm not one for photos much, but the fire effect is pretty cool. Perhaps you could change the lighting and coloring of it a little, to make it seem more realistic.
