Because "Dama" means Lady in spanish.[link]
I´m amazed of the variety of fur patterns that this animal could have.
This is detailed background to my part. I know is crappy but i did this one because i needed to draw from myself and practice some background stuff. Also i was very inspired for some Anne Rice book that i´m reading :3

The character is covered because i wanted to keep this clean to everyone to see it (dressed or covered looks really ugly to my own tastes) The character is male in fact, and that´s the sense and relation with the title and the image

I believe the artist was going for the effect of the name. If you look at the artist comment there is link to the wiki page. This gazelle is called the DAMA gazelle. As the artist has already stated Dama means lady in spanish. Because the name means Lady, he was made to look femanine.
That is the reason for the slender body.

Me encantado! Me gusta el orejas y... ah, who am I kidding? I'm horrible at Spanish. Is "encantado" even a word? Or is it one of the exceptions that always has to end in an 'a'?
Anyway, what I'm trying to say is that I like the expression that you put in all of your character's eyes, like how they're all looking off somewhere, being bashful. It's nice. I like this one more than the mature version though, I hope you don't mind.
