Description This is actually the front page of the report for a science-project at school about using hydrogen gas directly for fueling cars (yes, it IS possible )

The idea is that I am holding the mystic (for some reason) blue burning hydrogen in my hand and is busy posing for the photographer. Meantime, Asger's hair (Asger = the tall guy in the background, part of my science-group) is on fire, and I'm not noticing.

=*-*-*-*=

Then, I would really like you to comment on how I can improve my Serif Photoplus SE manipulations - I drew the fire all from scratch using the mouse-pad on my laptop, but i am not really satisfied with the result..
If you have a good advice, a tip or a trick, please share!

It's quite some time since I made it, so I don't really remember it in details. And unfortunately, I have lost the work-format when my computer crashed... if I still had it, I would have sent it to you
But as far as I remember, I used a standard medium hard calligraphic brush in different blue shades. Each color on a separate layer. I smudged the end of each stroke. I think I used overlay, color burn and color dodge as layer styles.
The glow effect and the reflective light is simply painting with a soft brush in light blues and purple shades and lowering the opacity a lot. And experimenting with layer styles.
The dark stuff on the coat and in the face is black on a layer with low opacity.
Good luck!

OK the fire in your hand looks really good, the fire in Asger's hair could be better, perhaps if it were more coming from his bangs and going up more like the one in your hand would help. Or if a flame was rising from your hand up the left side of his head and catching his hair on fire, that may be more convincing. This is actually a great photo. Keep up the great work

Thank you so much for the constructive comment!
I'll try to make it more realistic as you suggested -and then upload a second edition when I'm done!
