Description
The second release from Zenon Records, an amazing psytrance label based here in australia.The design came together three days ago, i woke up 4am monday morning with an image in my head (finally!) and worked on it solidly till this morning. really need to sleep now hehe...

Awesome.
The shades of green are very soothing, and just blend so well with the leaves you worked in there on the front cover. The rendering on the back is great, no other ways i can really describe it. The whole thing is basically a masterpiece, one of the best i've seen (but then again, not too much to be seen in my favorite music genre) if not the best.
Great to see it come from an Aussie too, and your a Melbournian! Awesome. Oh, also, the basic green colour really reminds me of the paint of the VY Commodores.

This is great. I think it beats your "JOCID CD Cover" in my opinion. I love the real leaves being there, I think it adds so much. Keep it up.

Man, this design is amazing
the cover & everything makes me think of technologically advanced mutations
But really now, lets start from the top eh.
The two renders up the top feel so professional, & the lighting is very dynamic, great soft shadowing!
The use of your hi tech cover maps on the renders look nifty, gotta love it
The front cover rollout is nifty, a smooth & nice render, the greens are nicely shaded in the image.
The computer chip like 2d is very intricate & well done, very professional edge to the design,
also the main front cover logo has really great shape & shadow,
the font & mini logo feel very tech & clean, very pro
Those leaves add an extra touch of professionalism in the image, they feel very fresh & mutated, works well with the image.
The back cover rollout is equally awesome.
Lighting is smooth & dynamic, soft & clean, great work there.
As i said before, excellent work on the 2d & logo, you can see it a bit better aswell in the back cover rollout.
The text feels very professional again, which is another nice addition to the image,
you have chosen excellent font & colour schemation
Also i see a nifty use of a tree branch, (you modelled it didnt you?) looks nifty, also yeah, does looked modelled, which is the right feel we want for the image.
The two small cover looks are nicely done aswell, great 2d again, & also a nice zoomed out look
The background & bordering, plus the shading of this design layout is very smooth, the white mixed with smooth grey like shadow adds to the professional touch, & the black outline sort of adds to the great shadowed effect.
Overall this is a very professional & top notch design job, id like to see designs as good as this whenever i go into shops...
But you know, majority of commercial designs out there arent as good as this man!
I can imagine how sweet this would be to see in a shop, with shiny green font on the front cover perhaps, it would look so damn good, id pick it up & have a look at the cd straight away. Wish there where more things like this
So yeah man, this is professional stuff, also its pretty cool your Australian aswell

thanks for taking the time to really study the image, not many ppl do that, just a quick glance and a one word comment.
i finally got to see this cd in the flesh about a week ago and it came out pretty damn well. printed in greece so i had little control over the process and didnt even have their plant specs but came out ok. fairly good colour representation, though a little too much cyan.
I wasnt sure about the typeface for the front cover, legibility is a bit low for that one, but it just had such amazing shape to it and seemed to fit the theme so i went with it. and the inner sleeve text layout seemed to fit again. I wrestled with the positioning of it for a while (minimal layout is such a bastard sometimes!) and tried some tricky 2d work but it just seemed to crowd the frame, so i ditched it.
The branches were not modelled actually, i was modelling them and then got jack of trying to get the branches in the right spot to correlate with the 2d circuit board so i just did them in illustrator photoshoped to them to blend, now that i look at it though i should have used a bit of displacement on the circuit board beneath them so that they interacted a little more. but ahh well. 'never finished, abandoned' and all that.. hehe

I'd buy this just for its design
The merging with the chipset stuff and real life objects reflects your title very well. A complete change; a transformation. Nature is turning into a machine or something ;D ?

i personly think that maybe u should of faded out the tech-y stuff in the back ground a bit more than u have done, but thats just me, i'm more of a mininal person.
