Description
Pen and Ink drawing I did of a gorilla a couple of weeks ago. Its only just dawned on me I should post it on here. I may be entering it into a local art exhibition with another gorilla picture I'm planning on doing.<<< PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHAT YOUR THINK YOUR OPINIONS ARE VALUABLE TO ME AND WILL BE APPRECIATED >>>

This is a very expressing drawing. The tones of his eyes are astonishing. The darkness of them suggests deep darkness. Well done.

This is gorgeous! A really great capture and pose. I love how its eyes are so dark, but you only drew a hint of its fur... you know? It makes for a beautiful contrast.

From all your art in your gallery I like this one the most. Unfortunately I am anything but a drawer, so I canΒ΄t really give a comprehensive critique. To me it seems that you did a really good job. Well done

I really love the detail on his face. The ink is a nice technique for this. :3

I find this amazing.. you should definitely enter this into the exhibition. It's beautiful, you captured the gorilla's deep thought.. its focus.. what do gorilla's think about? The cross-hatching is so well done.. I am jealous!

I think it's really well drawn it's definitely a gorilla, the only think I could think to make this better is add maybe a little more gray tone to the picture. He probably has dark fur, so even in his brightest areas there should be a subtle hint of darkness beneath.

Very nice work. I like how only the face is heavily focused on.
The plain white background blends the gorilla in though. And it's a lot a negative space. Not that it's bad, but I don't think it's helping in this drawing. Maybe some heavy hatching in the background will help.
Other than that, awesome job. ^^

I like the details of the lines, and also the details of the shape. Somehow it forms a realistic gorilla.

Very nice, again
Reminds me the way I use to draw with ink when I was younger, leaving some blank spots and centering the attention in some eye-candy. Very nice and realistic drawing, I like the details that we can not see the eye, adds some mistery to the expression

Aww, cuuuute
Did you use screen tones in photoshop or something, or is the paper naturally that yellowish?
I think maybe a slightly smudgier look might go along with the style a little better (a little hard charcoal perhaps?) but it's quite realistic, very nice.
Is this hard pencil, or did you ink it?

Its Inked and the papers a bit whiter its just the lighting in the room i took it.

I see. I like the yellowing, it gives a very 1800s brittish going through the jungle feel

Yeah
If this is gonna be in an art show, definatly don't mess with it, but if you have a spare print around, I've been getting really good results as far as aging, playing around with coffee staining (freeze dried coffee on a damp rag) if you ever wanna try it. If nothing else, your picture will forever smell vaugly of caffeine
