I love how real this piece looks. I clicked on it thinking it was a photo of something odd but it turned out to be a fine piece indeed.

Damn! It almost looks real, that's quite the picture there.
The waterfalls remind me of the huge waterfalls seen in some parts of Halo 3.

incidentally, was all of the landscape created in Artmatic Voyager (a program I'm not really familiar with), and is it only possible to get for Mac or is there a windows version?

ah that's a shame, the landscape looks outstanding so I would have liked to get my hands on the program (not saying that I would be able to pull it off as well as you did ofc ), but I'm on a Windows machine unfortunately :/

yeah I've tried terragen, never really used it extensively though since I only had the trial version which has renders at max 700x700 or summin. Will check out Mojoworld or maybe terragen2

What a picture ! Wonderful !
Is it a big planet in the top right corner ? Astronomically it seems too close not to break into pieces because of the gravitational field of the Colony planet. Worse, both might crush ! (Roche's limit).

Holy fuck. The multi-disciplined approach youve taken with this image is extreme. Total
