Description
I'm trying a different approach for the model chronology2010
This version is made for my old Prehistory adventure series. As usual, the model is just a simplified version. For my choice, the mouth is the Terrorpin since the jaws of Nothosaurus do not quite deliver a powerful bite. Two eye parts are used, the Felizard and the Wizened, and combined together to give the impression of shriveled reptilian eyes as depicted in the Walking With Dinosaurs Sea Monsters documentary. The neck and the tail are also too short. The Froggening and The Toadening are used for the feet to show Nothosaurus' webbed feet but this grants this creature to have a very high jump level (because of its frog feet) and dance too much. Colouration is based from the Walking With Dinosaurs Sea Monsters documentary; a beige body with a few dark spots.
2017
While the Terrorpin mouth part remains in the model, the rest of the body parts are adjusted to imitate the accurate skeletal restorations. The Terrorpin is added with Knurl Down parts as detail of the face, along with Kertainhorn parts to form the prominent fang-like teeth. The Wizened eye parts are also removed as they take up DNA 'money' and are deemed unnecessary. The neck and tail (with an Icky-o-saur part to double as a tail fin) are longer and the body base is now more streamlined than the previous version. The frog feet are replaced with the Suctoped and Bonekneepad for the webbed toes (instead of the usual Shellshard parts) with the help of a few Knurl Down parts. When in a swimming pose, the Suctoped is omitted and a single Knurl Down is used only as cover-up for the toes.
2017 (N. giganteus)
The skull is retooled from the first 2017 version, since the skull restoration of Nothosaurus giganteus is far more different as compared to the type species, Nothosaurus mirabilis. The Terrorpin has been swapped to the Barracutie mouth which has a more powerful bite level and given an additional charge level. Likewise, the Kertainhorn detail parts are used for the teeth. Colouration of the species type is also different, having a purple base, dark yellow stripes and underbelly.
