Payatas is an urban poor community located in Quezon City, Philippines. Home to the largest Landfill in the country, the denizens of this new-world "smokey mountain" literally live on mountains of trash, risking their lives and health day in and day out.

For that reason, we spent the afternoon giving free medical check-ups to the children of a local school within the vicinity ~ and for many of the students, it would be the first time they ever encountered a doctor.
