Description
Updated*I shot this while we were working at and orphanage for HIV orphans in Chonbury Thailand. There were about 30 or so kids in this orphanage. The sad thing is, not only were they orphaned by HIV but they themselves have the virus. In thai culture, if you are HIV positive, you have no chance of a real life, you are the outcast of society and are forced to live in slums outside of the cities. The medicine that these kids take costs about $10,000, which is around 40,000 baht (this is aside from there normal living costs). In Thailand that is a colossal amount of money. There is hope though, there are a lot of people out there helping with this problem, even though the necessary amount of money is huge, they always manage to raise it. Some of these kids, the lucky ones, a miraculously healed, there young bodies fight off the normally deadly disease. The Thai government is curious about this anomaly and is doing a study to find out how this is happening (if you ask me its a miracle). The girls can stay at the orphanage when they are older and become a staff member, the boys though must find there own way in the world, but some schools and organizations are starting to take them in. It is finding situations like this that have inspired me to spend my life helping people in need and inspiring others to do the same, hopefully with my photography.

beautiful, I like the all white.
(I am getting my camera this week, right now it looks like a D2H, 85 1.8, and 80-200 2.8, I couldnt warrent spending the $16 ot $1700 on the D200 and then not buying good lenses, but I found a sweet deal on the D2H for less than $1200)
