About:
One of the most wanted beings in the galaxy, the Notorious RED HAND has swaggered from star system to star system in his starship "Achilles Heel" on a singular quest: to steal, rob, raid, cause a scene, get noticed, destroy, and disrupt the natural order. He is the galaxy's worst pirate, in both senses of the word. He's bad at it, often bungling his own "impressive" feats, but he's done at least one thing terrible enough to actually warrant the attention he gets from the authorities. He'll never tell what it is, though; it's a burning secret at the core of his being. Well, he will tell, but never the same story twice.

His main goal is to prove to the universe that he exists, to make his name go down in history, in fame and infamy, to have stories told about him in hushed tones and fearful silence. Failing that, he's more than happy to slum it in whatever system he's in until he finds something particularly dramatic to do (or until the locals or the law drive him out). But how long can he keep this up?

Personality:
The Red Hand carries himself like he's a daring silver-age space hero or debonair rogue. He is a creature of contradiction. Daring is undercut by cowardice and conniving, class and sophistication are thrown out the window by crass exuberance. He fancies himself charming, and maybe he is; it depends on your tolerance for stories from him, about him, on why he's so great. He is a man who buys into his own hype, often trying to do the things they said couldn't be done, just to do them, often failing anyways (not that his ego would allow himself to consider himself a "failure"). No matter what happens, he will always find a reason to come out on top.

The Red Hand is a liar. Full stop. Everything he says about himself, or others, its probably false. He acts like he knows things but will cite misinformation, treat it like fact, and in the face of counterarguments or being disproven, will either carry on believing it or claim he never said it in the first place. He lies about himself, his stories of his exploits change depending on the audience. He will lie even if it would not benefit him in any way. You could tell him the sad story of how your people were slaughtered by the Tyranical Spiderlord of Arius and he will claim to have worked for him, been him, or slew him, even if said massacre occured centuries ago, or if aforementioned spiderlord was killed right in front of him by someone else's hand. His proclivity for deceiving others is surpassed only his gift for deceiving himself.

Abilities:
The Red Right Hand is a prosthetic he got after a rather traumatic event in his past (allegedly).
It is made of technorganic nanopaste that interacts with machines, technology, and materials of all sorts. It can absorb ingredients from his surroundings and transform and shapeshift into nifty gadgets. A hook and some rope can make a grappling hook, a winch, or powered lasso. Combining a fire extinguisher and industrial glue creates a quick-dry frozen cement cannon. A taser and a lighter become a flame thrower. He can also simply store individual items in it and incorporate them, like shifting a blow torch with a single spout into a hand shaped device with four points of metal-cutting contact. The hand is comprised about two liters of this technofluid, and absorbed objects will retain their mass, so a heavy and cumbersome object can be absorbed but it will remain heavy and cumbersome.

The Red hand is susceptible to Strong Electromagnetic Fields, from being drawn in and attached to simply misbehaving and spazzing out. An electromagnetic pulse will render the Red Right Hand Inert.

Strategy:
While he may talk a big game, he really doesn't do much head-to-head fighting, often preferring to trick, fool, and trap opponents with improvisation or the tried and true RUSE CRUISE. He will make use of his environment and the powers granted by his own Red Right Hand to craft a scenario for himself to win. Whether or not it works as intended (if at all) all depends on pure luck and his meager store of wit. Confusing and frustrating opponents is a given. His overconfidence may spell his undoing when all things are smooth sailing and he's on top of the world, or provide that extra amount of determination when the chips are down for the count.

That said, when the going gets tough, the tough get going and the Red Hand was already looking for the exit 10 minutes ago. He is always ready and willing to weasel out of precarious situations.

Quirks:
The Red Hand is quite the ladies man, or at least he fancies himself one. Admittedly, he has difficulty discerning male from female. It could be argued this is because as an alien, living among other aliens, he's seen ladies and men and others of all shapes and sizes, but an equally valid argument is that he's a moron. Needless to say, he'll make an "educated guess" more often than not, and act "appropriately?"

The Red Hand is an alien species called a Sod. They come from a planet called Lobaz with an incredibly polluted atmosphere, with more aerosol, methane, chlorine, and carbon monoxide per cubic inch than oxygen. They've developed specialized lungs to filter all of that toxic material out and just suck in what little good air there was, making them very immune to most poisons, and suited to very noxious atmospheres. Unfortunately most inhabited worlds in the galaxy have way more oxygen than Sods are used to, which means they have to wear special masks to filter out excess oxygen. The Red Hand, without his mask, would pass out in two-three sharp intakes of breath.

He's been working on his memoirs. They make for an entertaining read, though he seems to miss the point of autobiography.

He goes by many names and and has earned (and made up) many epithets. Examples include: the Scourge of Waro, The Sixth Son of the Fifth, Ol' Skullface, The Great Thief of Narius, AND MANY MORE! Its up to you and your imagination.
