Description
here is something i threw together for fun. i update her design once every couple of years. i started this character back in ‘06. i’m pretty sure i didn’t know how to draw legs in high school. most of my drawings back then were cut off at the knees.the latest version is pretty much the 2015 and 2013 designs combined.

2006: the mysterious skater girl. I can't lie, the 2006 one has a unique drawing style to it. She looks interesting, kind of gives off a laidback yet mysterious skater girl vibe with an unusual life and backstory. (i love her arm sleeves. there's something really stylistically unique about her.
2008: the quiet awkward girl. She has something sweet and introverted about her, but she looks more insecure. Like she would be confused in battle/ doesn't know how to work with her weapons. Her belt thingy is neat. But yea, this girl does not look like she understands why she's in those clothes, how she came to be a ninja, or how to fight at all XD.
2010: the flirty girl. This one is starting to stylistically look more like a comic book/ video-game character. She seems extroverted, she's probably one of the popular girls at school. She likely knows how to fight, but looks like she's more concerned with looking hot, by the way she is posing, her facial expression, and choice of clothes.... out of all them, this one may become annoying as a character, as she seems so vain and superficial.
2013: the skilled leader. I cannot decide my favorite between 2013 and 2018. They look like completely different characters with very different personalities. I love 2013's outfit. she's confident, tactful, straightforward, probably the leader and does not accept any bullcrap. By the looks of the multiple guns, she so casually carries around her waist, she's likely skilled and trained to kill.
2015: the brawns. This one's definitely the hulking one out of all the rest. Very muscular, not someone' you'd want to mess with as she can likely crush you without much effort. I love the addition of the mouth covering piece, gives her a more lethal look. doesn't look like she talks much, but by her angry face, she doesn't seem like someone we'd try to approach or start a conversation with in the first place. All in all, she's kind of intimidating. (but aaaw cute bunny ears :3)
2018: the silent killer. This one is SEXY and DANGEROUS! actually all the last 3 ones look like they'd make a good hunting team. She's got the perfect mix of brawns and curves, looks mysterious, calm and collected, looks like a skilled assassin able to get the job done without even making a noise. She's just so intriguing as a character, she makes you want to know more about her backstory and personal life. p.s. I seriously want to buy her bunny-feet shoes if they exist.

It's always interesting to see progression for a character thru the years. No matter how large or small of a change each time. Heck, at this rate, I wouldn't be surprised if down the line, you made another artbook (which I would gladly buy).

The first one was the best, normal boob size, normal outfit, normal expression
the last one is very cliché and looks simply made for boners

2013 is my favorite out of all of them. It seems the most detailed to me and she looks really badass with those rocket launchers and grenades! In my opinion, 2013 stands out the most and the 2015/2018 versions look like the typical anime that I wouldn't even bother watching. I mean, they're all great drawings, though. Nothing against any of them.

I'm a woman and I think the newest one is the best one, in terms of character design (for a fighting game or so). It's colorful, it stands out. The hair is very different and also stands out. The new one has a unique silhouette and palette.
The original one definitely looks fit for a more realistic setting, but the newer one I would actually remember and recognize if it were copyrighted and put in a game.
Besides anime and games are the last places to look towards for body image. The women are all blow-up dolls and the men are all gigantic muscle-masses. xD

hi! not here to start an argument or anything i REALLY hope it doesnt come off like that
but I think, if it wasn't originally the artist's intention, she now looks very playboy bunny inspired in the new design
and lets face it, playboy plays on sexual appeal obviously
she very much has a badass with a cute accent feel
I think she was meant to have a pinup feel even from the start, the style is what really emphasizes it
I actually do prefer the old design as well, just though I would add my 2 cents into the mix!

Her later outfits is based on the playboy bunny outfit. It's supposed to be juxtaposed by a soldier theme. Everyone has their own opinion and I appreciate you taking the time to express yours
