I drew this w/o references, colored in Photoshop and shrunk a bit to look more 'chibi' like.I coined this term 'chibi'-esque because I'm not exactly sure what can be called chibi, but I do know this has some qualities of chibi so I created a word for it.
Any comments appreciated!

No problem. they look fine to me. One time, I was drawing a chibi too and my friend said the body should be smaller than the head but I made it look alot like yours. Actually chibis don't have to have smaller bodies than heads. There are different kinds of chibis, so you go ahead and draw your chibis however you please

Good, I only put that as a sort of disclaimer because I had submitted a chibi ed to otaku.com and though well-received, I did get a comment that it didn't really look chibi like. I do plan to put that up here so check back in a couple of weeks.

well thats when you hafta make alotta friends! I just jump around commenting others artwork and sometimes theyll give comments back at mine and we decide to watch eachother, and they`ll always be there to look at your latest stuff, ill be here too

yeah, that sucks sometimes, I can get a lot of votes on something, then other times I won't get any, it's disappointing.
I'd like this better except for the fact there's sooo many pieces here, since it's not exclusive to anime, I feel largely ignored here sometimes.
Maybe someday another site will come along that will incorporate the best of both worlds, oh well.

Yeah, I know, it always makes feel guilty that I'm not drawing enough when I see other's wonderful works. Unfortuntely for me, I have to divide my free time tween tv, the net, and drawing, and usually drawing takes a back seat, that sucks -.-
