This was my first official FMA art. Looking back at it now, I'll have to say it fits in the anime after ep. 42. Doesn't really spoil anything just provides an explaination as to why Al's in the water, sort of !`.`When I first created it, I just had Ed and Win in it, added Al as an afterthought, then realized that was a mistake because of Al's bloodseal. To defend myself though I remembered back in Ep. 3 when the two brothers were sparring, Al got thrown in the water and Ed didn't seem too concerned, but anyways, this is explaination is just try to defend myself against any negative comments.
If that doesn't do it for you, just pretend it's an AU !-.-
I spent a reallly long time on the background, trying to get the water right, I'm pretty happy with it, but not how I drew them. Maybe someday, I'll go back and fix it.

The wtaer looks really nice. Tho, maybe it could have look a little lighter and transparent?

That was my first, but not last try at his automail. It turned out pretty good but it took me a long time to do it. One of these days, I'll have to go back and correct everyone's faces, they're all off, and that drives me crazy! X(
About the seal, like I said in my comment, I kinda made it w/ the idea this occurs after ep 45 or 43 or whenever Al becomes the stone so it can't be erased by water, but he can still drown! ^.^
Yeah, the water's not too realistic but when I did it, I really didn't have a good reference or a good way of creating it in photoshop. Oh well, maybe next time. ~.~ Thanks for the comments, though, I appreciate them!

The water did turn out nice. It doesent look like Alphonse is to deep in the water. I think his bloodseal is up fairly high inside his armor.

Yeah, the way I figured it, Al could get out of the water in time before it was completley washed away.
The only reason I put all that in was because I had posted it on another site and I got some negative feedback on that part, so I just wanted to touch all the bases so I wouldn't have that problem here.
But thanks for replying, especially in depth, I'm happy when I can get that kind of reaction from my art.
