You captured their expressions so well here~ Subtle but perfect! That's interesting, I've never heard about working down from the eyebrows but I'll try that next time haha. I love this

Thank you! :S I do start with the eyes, the general shape that is. Then I do the eyebrows and then adjust the shape of the eyes accordingly >.<

I am glad that you like my image.
In this one I experimented with a lot of brushes. It was fun and insightful. I think for this one I used a brush pack that was created by which can be found here [link] . (She is one of my FAVORITE artist right now.) I used the second one from the top in the left column to do the hair. You will find that a lot of artist will post brush packs, and it is fun to experiment with them, and to create your own. I have a few that I used that I come with Photoshop that I have altered for my own use, and that give me certain results that I am looking for. Experimenting is a great way of learning, even if the image doesnβt quite come out the way you had planned; you may learn something from the experience.
Facial expressions, I normally start with the eyes/eyebrows, and then work down and out for the rest. A lot of emotions can be betrayed through ones eyes, and I find that is the easiest place to start when determining how the rest of the face will work.

I do a lot.
That's nice, and she is a very VERY good artist I know, I learn much from a lot. I use tons and tons of different programs for each artwork I use usually, unless its traditional.
I usually start with eyes/eyebrows and work my way down also. Beauty marks are usually done in the progress. And I agree, eyes are really hard to do correctly, but with practice, it works.

Well if you ever get a change. You should try out that brush. It is really good along with another one on there, it doesn't show it in the picture so I can't tell you which one it is.
