~ Tumblr || You-Tube || Facebook ~Tyler Hoelchin who plays the sourwolf Derek Hale in "MTV's Teen Wolf." NO MORE BEARDS!!!! I did the hair and beard in Sai and everything else in Photoshop.

Wow, this is incredible, I love your artwork! Kudos to you for some really amazing attention to detail.
P.S. Just a suggestion, so pay no heed if you don't want any: Have you thought about leaving your artwork with rougher edges (less smoothed out, less blended)? I think that would look great too.

Thank you for the lovely compliment. I do have some art work that is rough around the edges, it mostly depends on what I am trying to achieve in the end results. The was meant to be mostly replica, and in the larger image, which for me is 3000x4500 px you can see definitely see the brush strokes. However, when shrunk you can't, as on here you can't see them as well. >.<

Thanks for the reply! Hmm. I've always felt that Tyler Hoechlin has this kind of "rugged" look, so my brain kind of went: rugged=rough around the edges... Also beards are such a pain to draw which is probably why all of my portraits w/beard artwork doesn't look nearly as smooth and put together as yours. I can definitely appreciate how much work you put into that beard!

I know what you mean. But, hey! His shirt is still sloppily done with rough edges, that counts right? I hated that beard!!!!! It took forever, I also did it in sai instead of photoshop so that way the colors would blend in with those underneath better. I hate facial hair. Maybe that is why I don't draw a lot of guys because of the beards, mustaches, goatees, and the stubble....*cringes*

I'm glad we share a mutual dislike of drawing beards. When I'm super lazy, I just leave the beard out and make the chin area shadows darker to hint at stubble.... T___T Either way, keep up your awesome art!

Thanks, I learned through this image how much I HATE facial hair. It was a pain in the $#^&*$%. ^_^ Glad you enjoyed it though.

yes, but it will be worth it. It's a mixture of like vampire dairies, supernatural and buffy except the writing will make you want to club them in the heads sometimes.
