Description
A messy painting.
I recently got the 2019 version of Photoshop. So I thought I'd try and get use to the new version by making a drawing to get back into digital art.
My first experience with it, was not good. It's really frustrating since I'm use to the old one more. So this transition is gonna take a while.

I never actually thought about this.
In all honestly the shading is just like normal shading except, there are a few other factors that plays a role in the drawing as well.
To me personally, one of the most important things about shading is the mood you want to convey through your drawing. This drawing is cold, blue, and gray to convey the mood of loneliness
-I usually have more then 1 dark color for the shading. An example is on the head, there's a secondary shading which is just a darker shade color to show more depth and form on the character.
-Another one of them is the lighting, but this is where this drawing kinda fails at that part. Because it's kinda everywhere and not the right spots.
-One of the things that brings this drawing together is the environmental lighting. (that's actually not what it's called, I just dont know its official name). It's where the color of the environment is shining back onto the character. For example there's a shine of blue on the left side of the character to show the environment's color bouncing off of him.
My words aren't law, im still learning myself. But hope this helps in a way.
