it kills me to ask stupid questions like this but.. how do you get that amount of definition in the black lines of your works? is it just specialty caps or straight up skills?

Hey mate,
not a stupid question at all, and it's a mix of equipment and skill. Belton is a good brand for your paint, and you just gotta experiment with caps to see what works. The pressure in the can makes a difference- lower pressure is good, so use half full cans for fine work, or hold upside down and release some of the pressure.
Close up the lines weren't so well defined!

It's true, this is my second spraycan piece, but I've been drawing & painting all my life, so I think that helped. Plus I was about 30 years old when I did it...

Thanks heaps for the comments, yeah I got some skinny caps and decent paint (belton I think). I've been painting and drawing for about 30 years, which probably helped my paint control a bit too...

The word on it's head is Freex, which was the name my mate and I used when doing "uncomissioned art in the public domain" (graffiti). I'm glad you like it! It got spayed over a few days after we did it, but it's having a longer life on Deviant Art! I'd love to see some of your art- once you have a scan of your art, just go to "submit deviation" on the right hand side of your home page, and follow the instructions.
And if you want to get good at drawing realistic things, one word... practice!
