Description
Another panorama of Washington's mountains. This time from the Olympic Range at the coast. Not far behind me you can get a view of the ocean. Here you can basically see the entire trail we walked from start to finish, which I thought was pretty cool. It's basically following the top of the snow-covered ridge in the center. It was a beautiful hike. Walking through the snow, having stunning mountain views all around and all that with T-Shirt weather? There is not much that can beat that imho.
The panorama has been stitched in Photoshop Elements 14 from 9x RAW (vertical), handheld.
Location: Hurricane Hill, Olympic National Park, Washington State, USA

a while ago (early 70's) someone i knew was camping in those mountains. there were some mountain goats frolicking about his tent in the middle of the night keeping him up, so he threw a boot at them. they chewed it to pieces, and he had to walk out with one boot.

Heh The mountain goats are not native in these mountains. They have been brought here by humans for hunting purposes. Now they are kind of a plague and the National Park is trying to get rid of them entirely. A few years ago a father got killed by a mountain goat here while protecting his children. On the other hand there have been zero bear incidents of that sort in the park...

Haha, good song! The Scorpions are actually from my hometown, lol. Iirc when my mom went to school, they started out as a school band.

Heh, the high tree line and the snow-cap above really work well together imho.
