It's been almost 2 years and I still can't believe this area was the "better than nothing" alternative because all the highline trails we wanted to do were still closed. Talking about misscalculated expectations because this turned out to be so much more.
I haven't thought about going to the waterfall tbh but now that you say it... Maybe next time I'm here. That time we were headed for another lake.

Wonderful view. It looks like it would be easy to slip on the loose stones

It wasn't super easy to walk indeed but still ok I would say. I've experienced worse.^^ Luckily it wasn't wet, that would have made things much more difficult and we could observe the rain clouds hovering over the next mountain ridge the whole time.

I agree! We had some spring days here already. Even though we didn't have a winter this year...

Thank you! Interesting, I personally feel like it's only an issue if it's wet or if there is some sticky soil, e.g. clay, as well so they stick to the boots, fly up and land in your boots... Higher boots help a bit I think. Here I only had low shoes and still no problems as far as I remember. It's weird.

How interesting, the way the color of the rocks changes so abruptly from gray to red as you go up.

Geology at its finest. I really love those types of layers in the mountains as well.

Same what I wrote to Jonathan: It's been almost 2 years and I still can't believe this area was the "better than nothing" alternative because all the highline trails we wanted to do were still closed. Talking about misscalculated expectations because this turned out to be so much more.
