Description
Barba is a female lizard. (They're calling them so. The animals we're knowing with this term are called with other names.)
She is bonded mentally with her rider Kim and sees him as her little child. (Literally.)
Barba has a short temper when hungry or seeing Kim in danger. She has a strong bite and knows how to use it.

But at the same time she can be lovely and carrying. Even picking up small animals or humans without hurting them. (Like crocodiles.)

Lizards are fast and persistent runner. Some of them are also skilled at climbing. (Barba isn't. She is too big for such things.)
The saddles are used for carrying their rider. Bridles aren't usually used since they block the mouth of this predators.
Only messengers using them to guide their giant companion on long distances.

If used in war and fights necks and legs are covered in armors of thick leather.

You can ride a Lizard bareback but you may regret it later. Ouchi!
Like dinosaurs they're not cold blooded and need a lot of food.
