If there’s one word to sum up Rein’s personality, it is gloomy. Something always seems to be on the guy’s mind and it is very clear that he doesn’t have a very bright outlook on life. He’s dark, rarely known to smile, and very tepid when it comes to expressing any emotion. He is rather secretive, and is not very quick to trust others. If asked what is wrong, he won’t give an honest answer. Maybe he won’t answer at all. Rein isn’t very mindful of how other people feel about him, so he wouldn’t be bothered if he comes off as rude or if he makes some enemies because of his uncaring demeanor.

That being said, Rein isn’t a completely bad person. To the people who gain his trust he is fiercely loyal and will do anything in his power to ensure their safety. Truth be told though, he is not very confident in his social skills. He tends to shy away from crowds, and is not usually one to initiate a conversation. He prefers to keep to himself for fear of not being accepted. If you really want to talk to this guy, don’t worry about him disliking you. Even though he is all doom and gloom, he doesn’t dislike the humorous and cheerful character. In fact, Rein is pretty tolerant to all kinds of personalities. It’s difficult to truly make him angry.

Rein is goal oriented, organized, and methodical. He takes everything very seriously, and will go about his methods with a calm and collected attitude. He is fairly intelligent and observant and he is great with practical application. He can think quickly, but if faced with a situation completely foreign to him, you’ll see that his ability to improvise is near nonexistent. He would rather take things carefully and have a plan before jumping into a situation.

It is also worth mentioning that unless he really, truly trusts someone he lies a lot. It can’t be said that all of his words are lies, but enough of them are, often making it difficult to determine the truth. Rein appears to be unaware of the habit.

Little is known about the Dayliet Seraph’s past, and he absolutely refuses to talk about it. He was human at one point, but now… he isn’t quite there anymore. Rein, or Day as he sometimes calls himself wanders between worlds in search of his long lost friend. After hearing that she was alive and well, he desperately wanted to meet with her. She was all he had before, but then she suddenly disappeared. Everyone seemed to have forgotten about her completely, but Rein could not. After his searches had ended in failure, he begged, cried, and screamed for the power to follow and find his friend.

And it was given to him.

At the cost of most of his existence and physical form, Rein was given the ability to chase after what mattered to him more than anything. On most days Rein is visible, but his presence is difficult to notice. Although he is physically there, you need to look carefully in order to see him or he may just otherwise slip by unnoticed or ignored. Similar to a shadow, Rein cannot really be touched. Most things that try to make physical contact with him phase through his body. Buildings and other obstacles are no problem to pass through. He can lift objects and feel pain, but sometimes Rein wonders if he is still alive or if he nothing more than a ghost of what he used to be.

Rein was given the ability to follow his world-hopping friend, but everything just has to have a catch. Wherever his friend travels to, Rein has the power to follow. However, no matter what he will only appear in a world 24 hours after his friend arrived in it. Many times he was too late and she had already left. Other times he had been too slow in gathering information and tracking her down. So far the race against time has been a fruitless and tiring struggle, but Rein refuses to give up. He continues to wait and search, with dim hopes that his wish will someday come true.
