Description
One of my very first animal realism on oekaki. Still one of my favourites. =3As you can see (at least I hope you can see it), this is a howling wolf, as the title cleverly states already.

the only thing that I dislike, is perhaps the mouth. It somehow looks to short. I don't know how to describe this... the mouth is not opened wide enough; It doesn't look like the wolf is howling (well it does, but it's not that realistic

Hmmm, it's based on a photo though, so it should be realistic (don't have the reference anymore of course, I drew this years ago).
But if you've ever seen a wolf howl (or even a dog), you'll see that they actually don't really open their mouth much. Actually the same happens when you try to imitate the howling; you start with an open mouth but you basically almost close it when you produce the actual howling sound.
