This is amazing I love how blocky this is. I was just telling someone the other day how I wished my work was more blocky. Want to master the blockyness. Ok but wow this is crazy. Love the style and colors. best thing i have seen on DA for a while. too bad i have no brains to comment properly. I agree with the contrast comment but i didnt really think about it at first since i was diggin everything else. and stuff.

I love the colors. The texture of the whole thing is amazing.
Is this a photograph of the painting or was it scanned in? Because there is some weirdness on the viewer's right side of the body (subject's left) like something went wrong there and you tried to correct/blend/fix. . . same with the right side of his head (viewer's left).
I love the shapes and the colors - I just wish there was more contrast, more crisp contrast between the guy and the background. . he kind of bleeds into it in a few spots. Was that what you were going to fix?
The background is just awesome. it looks like a really cool piece of old old wood.

Thanks yeah ita a photograph, the smudges in the bg appear in the picture as well, but not as pronounced. I think i need to go over the bg with some darker shades and hide the irregular smudges a little more. Thanks again, you are THE awesome.
