You and the axis powers are having a sleepover; this was the first time you’ve ever been to their house, so you were pretty excited and happy! You were all best friends, and you trusted them with all your heart. They cheered you up when you were depressed, and they would help you get your mind off of things that bothered you.

Little did you know that one of them was your secret admirer!

However, lately you’ve been going through a lot of stress, and you’ve been very fond to having nightmares.

And one night, you had one - an awful one you could never imagine.

I woke up from the sound of screaming, and I already knew who it was:

It was ______, one of my very best friends! She must be having a nightmare!

I got out of bed and immediately rushed into her room, completely forgetting I only had pants on, but I didn’t care! I had to wake the Ragazza(1) up!

“BELLA! Bella, it’s just a dream,” I shouted while shaking her awake.
She quickly sat up, her eyes full of tears and her face drenched with sweat. She turned a tomato red when she saw me without a shirt.
“Italy,” she cried, hugging me tightly and crying onto my chest.

Oh man! What do I do now? Usually it was Germany who comforted me after a nightmare, but now it’s ME that has to comfort her! What do I do, What do I do?!

I began to rub her back in slow, tiny circles while speaking a couple comforting words in Italian. Maybe this would calm her down; it calmed me down when I was a bambino!(2)

“Va tutto bene, bella“ (3)

"Era solo un sogno.” (4)

“Sono io; Sono qui…” (5)

She began to calm down after a while, so I must be pretty good!
She removed her arms from mine, sniffling a couple times.
“Is that better, _____?”
“A-A little,” she stammered, her voice still cracked up from the crying.

“Feli… it was an awful nightmare; you and the others were-… all of you were dead!”
I couldn’t believe the words that came out of her mouth. Me and my best friends in the whole wide world DEAD?! Why would she have a dram about that-…?
“It must’ve been that movie,” she continued. “I knew I shouldn’t have watched it. I shouldn’t have bought it in the first place!”
“No, it’s okay, Bella; we wanted to watch it because we thought it looked interesting! I kept covering my eyes halfway throughout the movie!”
She chuckled, then she lied her head back down on the bed.
“Thanks for comforting me, Feli…”
I smiled at her, pulled the covers over her body, then got up to leave. (6) “Buonanotte, bella-“
“Wait, Italy! C-Could you… S-Sleep with me? I’m really cold…”
I nearly choked on my breathing. She wanted ME to sleep with her! I couldn’t believe it! Did she really love me?
“Of course, Bella; anything for you.”
I took a deep breath and slipped underneath the covers with her, making she had enough of the blanket. She suddenly wrapped her arms around me, lying her head once again on my chest, and I could feel and hear her breathing onto me.

It took me a lot of strength trying not to blush.

“Go to sleep, ______; if you have another nightmare, i’ll be right here with you.”

“Italy…?
“Si, Bella?” (7)
“…Ti amo.” (8)
My eyes widened at the sentence: she really did love me, after all…
“Ti amo, ______… sweet dreams…”
