This is day #11 of my Summer of Pictures event, where every day of the summer, I'll be posting different summer-themed pictures. Here's Mordecai (my boyfriend) trying to cheer me up. How did it happen, you may ask?

It all started where Mom and I were at Myrtle Beach. We were on one of its sandy beaches, lounging in our swimsuits (I wore a polka dot one-piece swim dress and Mom wore a strapless bikini top with a skirt. I went into the ocean with my favorite flower-print inner tube and just before you can say "Just you wait and you'll see that you're swimming with sharks", a shark popped out of the water as I swam in i, and everybody knows that sharks EAT people, or was that from Jaws? (Can't seem to remember). Anyways, the shark was chasing me through the ocean and as I put on my mask and snorkel underwater, the shark almost got me by my tail and Mordecai, wearing his red floral-print swim shorts, saved me from the shark attack. As he pulled me from the water, everyone cheered for me but I started to cry since sharks are one of my childhood nightmares, that and "I Don't Like Candy Corn" by Moose and Zee.

Mom warned Mordecai that if he doesn't cheer me up, she'll be having grilled blue jay with broccoli for dinner (which, in my opinion, sounds good) so Mordecai had to sing a song for me. The song he sang for me was one of my favorite summer-themed songs: Under the Sea from Disney's The Little Mermaid. As soon as I heard 5 seconds of the song, I sang a duet version of the song with Mordecai and hugged him.

And that's how it ended: Mordecai saved me from getting killed by a shark and he cheered me up with a song and made me happy again.
