I've always had a strong preference for Samus's Metroid Fusion ending outfit over the Zero Suit. I just think the only thing she needed was more muscle.So here it is, something I made in the spirit of the fusion ending pics, but with a much more buff-looking Samus.

Awesome. Samus is supposed to look strong and muscular. And I prefer both this outfit and her Super Metroid ending outfit. Screw the Zero Suit.

Indeed. Samus went downhill once the Zero Suit became a thing. I mean, really. It's no wonder why I have her in her ending outfits (ex. Super Metroid, Metroid Fusion) as her main attire in my fan crossovers (ex. Nintendo X DC Universe, Marvel vs. Nintendo, and Capcom vs. Nintendo), where she's referred to as "Suitless Samus".

I didn’t mind the Zero Suit much in Zero Mission. It didn’t have heels back then so I was okay. Smash Bros made it too much of its own thing though and Other M just ruined her entire design.
I’m glad they’re at least making her legs muscular now and giving her nice abs, but the heels need to go.

Yeah. Her design in SSBU is a step in the right direction. Now they just need to stick with it in future Metroid games, not to mention give her her other ending outfits in multiple endings, because honestly, the Zero Suit is getting boring now.
