Description
I really wanted to do something like this, quite different from what I normally do... I wanted it to look like an old photo and a traditional art at the same time. It seems that they had color pictography in New Hyrule by the time of Spirit Tracks, but I think black and white or sepia goes better with trains :3The old photo-like texture is the one I found somewhere in the internet, but I don't remember where -3-

I really like the "old photograph" look of this drawing.
I love Zelda: Spirit Tracks! (Possibly because I'm a big fan of trains. Β )

Thank you! That's the effect I wanted to achieve~
And I love trains too, Spirit Tracks is a perfect Zelda game for train fans :3

This is so cool! The grainy, old-timey feel is perfect for the subject matter. And it's always nice to see fanart of Spirit Tracks...it's a horribly underrated game.

Thank you!
You're right, Spirit Tracks is really underrated, and it's quite sad because it's actually one of my favourite Zelda games.

Realised I faved, but never commented on this. .-.
I'm super glad to see the Hero of Trains this well drawn once in a while.
The shading of the falts of the uniform look great! x)) Especially the sleeves turned out great.
And the texture adds a lot to it as well. Good choice!

Unfortunately Spirit Tracks and its Link don't get so many fan arts, I think..
And thank you! The texture was important for me, without it all the grays looked kinda bland.

Haha, I know this feeling. I always make notes about what I want to draw, and then when I actually draw, I come up with other ideas and the noted ones are just left unused...

That is absolutely beautiful. Spirit Tracks is, to me, all about blending a new style with nostalgia. Seriously, the game is a love letter to anyone who grew up playing with a train set. You've captured the essence perfectly.

Thank you!
Hey, now I realize I also played with a train set in my childhood and it was one of my favourite toys! Maybe that's why I love Spirit Tracks and trains so much..!

So did I. I get very nostalgic each time I hear the Spirit Tracks overworld theme.

Definitely agree on black and white / sepia and trains. Β Gives it a Old West feel.Β

Actually, what I had in mind was the industrial revolution in Europe, as my mind and body are always quite far from America, haha.. but it probably fits, too

Any kind of "Victorian Era" feel works. Β
Yeah, I grew up in the American Southwest. Β The Old West is always on my mind. Heh.Β

I have never seen people saying bad things about it, I think it's just underrated and not so popular among Zelda fans because of that, so it gets less fanarts.. which is unfair because it's great and it's one of my favourite Zeldas~

I wish it was popular same here it's one of my favorite Zelda games there's a comparison between one of the cutscenes in the game and a ccomparison in one of the episodes of the Zelda cartoon
