Whew, I've finally finished it, despite losing motivation a few times while drawing..Anyway, this is my entry for MrsVolv 's contest Pokemon and Digimon - Let's be friends!
The idea of this drawing was to show that Pokemon and Digimon are two worlds that complement each other, just like Yin and Yang, they are similar but also different. I happen to love creatures based on the nine-tailed fox, so I love Nintales and Kyubimon, too. I kinda think Kyubimon's design is cooler... but it's only my humble opinion...
(Also, for the contest: I do own a 3DS and both Pokemon X and Alpha Sapphire games)
Ah, and it looks quite cool as a desktop wallpaper, too!

I love how for some reason, every time I wander through your gallery, I find rather old drawings I never noticed before

Ahahah, this one is quite old indeed, but I think Β I haven't got much better at drawing four-legged things since then so even I still find it good :'D
The background and smoke are just random effects and brushes though, added just so it wouldn't look so empty

Well, as far as I can tell, you didn't really draw that many four-legged things lately, so it isn't even surprising you have this impression ^^
Yeah I figured as much, but still, it's one point to use such effects and brushes, another one is to make them look good, and you definitely did this here, I honestly cant get over this

Ooh I know how you feel! Every time I wait for a note and see this little notification, only to discover it being some pretty irrelevant stuff, I'm even more impatient than before...
But the joy when the note you waited for finally arrives beats everything, I just love it!
And man, it's been quite a while, I really took my time
But I'm glad I could finally get myself to writing back! It's just still thrilling every time I read a new reply, although the writing itself takes quite a lot of time and even energy... But well, still waaaay better than writing a term paper, I can tell you that much

Yeah, this was one of main points in this drawing, to make Kyubimon's flame look more "digital".

I'm happy you like the effect on Kyubimon's fire, I really wanted to use it and I thought it would match the "digital" side of Kyubimon, as opposed to Ninetales

Beautiful concept and I like your motivation behind the picture. I do agree that Kyubimon's design is much better than Ninetale's sort of plain appearance. I grew up liking and playing the games of both series. They are similar, but also vastly different. Nice job all around though.

Thank you! I like Kyubimon's design more, because it looks more legendary... But I believe Ninetales would look less like an ordinary fox if it was a Pokemon from later generation. I always thought that 1st gen had most plain and "natural" designs.. But still, I love them all, Pokemon and Digimon

Thank you! I'm especially happy you like the effects, because that's what I wanted to show with them - two worlds, a "real" (at least in-universe) world of Pokemon, and digital world of Digimon, complementing each other and creating a harmony
