I'm sorry, I'm not really good at painting. T_T
I only started painting during secondary 1. We painted shapes...the teacher taught us how to blend. (It didn't work... so I watched the teacher closely, what she did while she is painting. She used a cloth to clean the brush as she was switching colours (in this drawing, I used an old newspaper LOL) and if she needed to shade or highlight, she tip her brush with VERY LITTLE black/white and painted on the base colour. So that's what I did XD) And the fur technique in this... is what I observed in other's digital art.
I actually tired to put my digital art skills to work here, because I thought painting was like digital art... well, you can see how the tree ended up XD (looks so different from my digital tree!) So... yeah.
I just thought I could try out my painting skills for once.... (I tried for eevee first, I accidentally tore the paper for the tail.... so I tried not to commit that mistake again (you can see I didn't accidentally tear the paper at the ear e.g.) A
fter painting the eevee, I thought ''Hey! I wonder what would trees e.g. look like if I painted them out!'', then after painting those, I'm like ''OMG I have extra paint left! I'd hate to waste them!'' then... ta-da! This background O_O then I proceeded to paint vulpix.
I mixed wayy too much paint while trying to get the right colours for vulpix. (I guess that ended up making the brush strokes obvious.) but anyway, I tried, guys! I tried! T_T Sorry for inaccurate colours!
I'm not a big fan of painting... you waste time switching brushes and mixing colours. (I used a middle brush through out for eevee, had to fix a lot of times to get the eyes right, so I decided to switch between a small brush and a middle brush for vulpix so I don't have to fix too much.) and mixing colours to get the exact same colour is a pain. ಠ_ಠ You can see the different colours on eevee's neck fur... (very subtle...thankfully.)
It's like, if you want the exact same colour as before, you need to measure the amount of each colour you mix! Okay, I get 1/5 of the brown paint and mix it with 1/4 drop of white paint and mix it with another 1/3 of the orange paint...- /shot dead (lolno. I was just kidding.) but seriously XDD I prefer colouring!
If there was a time limit for drawing.... like in an art exam, I think I should probably just colour... (Though, a good thing about painting is that you can use a bigger brush to cover more area.)
So anywayz, I hope you like it o3o (I bet it'd be easier if I didn't have to paint the face...)
[Also, I edited the eevee part to get the colours to look as it is on paper. And the drawing is cropped off at the bottom... meh. Whatever XD]
