I must ask why Steven is with KO even though they're different cartoons. Eouldn't it make more sense for Enid to be there?

I find it really disappointing that there isn't a single drop of Star Vs. Merch outside the comic miniseries.

Yet there was a Pickle and Peanut vinyl figure set from Funko, somehow.

I guess someone assumed that the show's (at the lack of a better term) post-post modernism would resonate with the vinyl buying 20-something crowd.  I don't see why the Wander over Yonder fanbase was screwed over for a non-exisitant Pickle and Peanut base.  Wander's atheistic would translate perfectly into vinyl form.  I could totally see Wander and Hater as those expensive Hikari vinyl figures that no one actually buys.

To be fair, the Pickle and Peanut set did look pretty good, considering that wouldn't translate at all into 3-D merchandising.  It's too bad they just wasted it on a show that at best is a lukewarm Lucas Bros Moving Company ripoff that doesn't have much of a fanbase.  Considering the Gravity Falls toy line was impossible to find and goes for a fortune online, and the Pop figures barely stay in stock for more than a couple weeks, that decision was just baffling.

It's just my opinion, but Pickle and Peanut is just not a good show at all...

I don't exactly hate the thing, I've seen much, much worse.  Soul crushing stuff.  Pink Panther and Sons was a painful level of human misery and I only saw one episode.  I get what the show's trying to do, and I do like how Jon Heder is in it, but it just doesn't do anything.  I can't even get a strong feeling negative or positive.  I mean, if it was one of those shows a network shoved down your throat 24/7 like certain other shows on other networks.  It's a show that's just there, and then petered out and became as forgotten as it was forgettable.  I dunno if Funko or Disney misread the audience of the show (read, non-existant), but why a wildly mediocre series would even get the attention of merchandising is still the biggest mystery there is.

I assume someone bought one of those just to acknowledge the footnote of a series, probably after hitting deep discount clearance.  Meanwhile, if you take a mortgage out on your house, you can totally buy the Jazzwares Grunkle Stan 2 figure set.

Fair enough, that's understandable.
can't say I've heard of Pink Panther and Sons, that is, I barely know much about Pink Panther;
but I'll take your word from it and stay away.

There's a world of horrifyingly cynically terrible cartoons out there that were left behind.  Don't quite know if it's a good thing or a bad thing if most modern cartoon watchers aren't aware of them.  On the one hand, you dodged a bullet.  On the other hand, you'll never know true horror of the boardroom/network driven cartoons of the past.
