Description This a transmutation circle inspired by Full Metal Alchemist and traditional alchemy and also chaos magic. It makes a painting. I wont go into too much detail unless you really wanna know. Done in charcoal on grey paper. 2011

By coincidence...I really wanna know.
Does it mean anything? Did you plan it out? Or was it just cool.
The last one works fine, but I'd be more intrigued by the first two.

lol, wished this worked, was disappointed to learn alchemy was in history just attempts at creating gold, and some other weird green goo they hoped to be medicinal... still amazing how it developed into a science though, it's sooo curious I can't help but love it XD. many congratulations, an excellently crafted piece! (point of array? I'm already impressed that you were able to create elements of the alchemetic process in succession! More then I've ever done.)

A bit complicated for painting. If you could picture what you wanted, a simple Universal Transmutation would have sufficed . A very detailed circle though, and well drawn. Wish I could draw by hand.

well, painting for me is a pretty complicated process and i tried to include all the factors and materials that combine to make my type of painting. but i def get yer point. dyou think you could make any painting with a simple circle?

Universal Alchemy is a simple relocation of the transmuted material, and as long as you know to the exact detail what you're moving, you could hypothetically do anything with it. So hypothetically, yes if you knew the content of the paint to a T, and you knew exactly how you wanted it to turn out, you could use a Universal Transmutation Circle to make a painting. And if you didn't like it, you could use the same circle to return the paint to its original state and rearrange it as you like.

kewl dude. i think that the idea for me is that i want to illustrate my process through the circle so i dont know if a simple circle would be exciting enough. its also my drawing final so its gotta be complex

Yeah

I'm no good at drawing by hand, and Alchemy and Swords is about all I draw on the computer.

If only it'd work. My works in Alchemy tend to be as simplified as possible, to leave as little room for error as I can. The less you try to do, the easier it is to get results, so I simplify the processes, making it easy to understand.

very clever. im not exactly a logical person so this is all new to me. right now im actually trying to use circles as templates to be painted over abstractly but i guess ill have to start making some real circles too!

Not yet anyway. I'm not so good at teaching that way, I find talking to people is better for teaching. I've been considering using my Livestream account to do live tutorials.

i agree, sir. i like to teach too, but i only really know enough about painting and drawing and not much else. the whole mechanics of transmutation circles dumbfounds me. ive been reading about solomon circles recently, too. theyre pretty cool and ancient!

I prefer Alchemy over Magic and Mysticism, since its a great mix of science and philosophy.

Anyway, if you wanna set up a time, I'll set up livestream, and I can give you a basic Alchemy tutorial. Invite your friends

yeah, im a mystic my friend. im sure we have many things to teach each other. dyou only know about alchemy or have you perchance read anything about solomon circles, sigil magic, etc? very similar ideas (for the most part) and super fascinating and ancient

I know a little of the basics, and that it shares a lot of the symbology with Alchemy, but not much honestly. I prefer Alchemy because of how flexible it can be, while still working within a clearly defined system. As long as the Alchemist recognizes a symbol as having a certain meaning, the circle can be used. Transmutation Circles are like a code, you can use any symbol to symbolize anything you want. We use well known symbols, to eliminate any chances of misunderstanding the Array, but if you had the mind to make your own symbols, or use symbols that would not normally be used, it would be just as functional to the creator.

Very interesting. Can it make a specific custom painting, replicate an existing painting, or produce any painting at all (whether it be physically possible for a mere human or not)?

The concept is to mimic the forces drawn upon when I paint. so more or less make a painting i could make (ideally a good one ). Myself, for instance, is represented at the bottom as a symbol for stone (root of my name in the old testament). The sun, that gives the light i need, the moon, the four elements, etc. I also used the chemicals for pigments in the paint i use. at the top right corner of the circle is the assembly of the canvas. at the very top is the oil being separated and mixed into the pigments and onto the canvas, and in the center is the allseeing eye (perception -- also a necessary part of the process). the painting itself could materialize anywhere because i didnt set a point for its creation in the array. sorry for the longwinded explanation and thanks for your interest!
