thanks
my Fuji is a bridge camera not a DSLR so for 'macro' shots I can use only a close-up lens (the filter type) like this -[link]

No no..I've used fuji's, in fact gone back to one...almost unheard of , I know
I had a S9500, then a pentax dslr ( got fed up carrying a seriously heavy backpack where we went & stopping every 2 seconds to change lens ) so I ebayed it all & got a HS20exr...but the clarity I got with my other, & what you get with your's..I kinda need that
So I did mean..what make of lens do you use...your shots are superb!!!

I have only Fuji because I can't afford a dslr
I use Fuji on manual settings to increase quality of photos
thanks for compliments

Well, yes, dslr's are expensive. But once you have the body & kit lens(18-55mm generally )...it's the other lenses that wreak havoc on your finances!!!
I had the focal lengths from 18-300mm covered, but I also wanted a wide angle & macro...& that was just for starters. Sadly I costed those to alone to be another Β£ 900!!!...after a lot of thought. I sold up to get my HS20. I regret it a bit, but hopefully, one day, maybe get another + keep the fuji for day trips ( way more enjoyable carrying around a fuji )
If you ever do get yourself a dslr, you'll have to go some to better the gallery you already have, your macros are superbly sharp & detailed, all your shots are pin sharp

yes, they are too expensive for poor student like me
I wouldn't buy HS20 since I read the specifications
but of course I know it's a good to have camera like for trips where You must reduce excess baggage
I'd have to scrimp & save for ages to buy good dslr

turns out they are too expensive for me as a 40 year old worker!!!
haha...I read all those specs & reviews too....
It's a strange camera indeed, I wanted wide angle ( it has it totally)...I wanted macro (it has it pretty cool ) I wanted zoom ( it's a world beater!!! )but I think it's getting confused, it's getting f-stops confused totally. Manual works less better than 'exr' mode. Haha ...stuck with that I guess..you'll see anyway
