I like it. It's an interesting style you've used for the background, but I think it works well and creates a nice feeling to the piece. The emote fits in well with shading that makes sense for the emote's location. The size of the piece is about right so it doesn't feel too full or empty and the selection of colours blend well together.
So all round, it's a nice emote and I look forward to seeing more from you.
