Description

This is a character you might recognise if you frequent my sketch blog I've grown rather fond of him, so it's about time he makes a debut in my dA gallery too! He used to be a lion, but I just didn’t feel that that was the right species for him. Then I thought "Hey, you know what’s cool? Chi Cats." This reference sheet did, for some reason, take ages to complete. There are a fair few additional design notes I wanted to include, but I've had it with this image xP If you have any questions about his design, just ask!

This is Karasu ("crow"), a blue Chi. He lives alone on the outskirts of a small village and has gone a little bit feral - other Chi Cats tend to steer clear of him due to his wild appearance - but he’s really very kind, if a little bit mad. Karasu doesn’t bother with his appearance much and constantly gets twigs and leaves caught in his mane… He’s fascinated with the art of healing and both grows and gathers various herbs to experiment with. Some say that a lot of his eccentric ways stem from prolonged exposure to the strange plants he collects… and there may be some truth in that. But he is very intelligent and often notices the small things that others miss.

Karasu's no master fighter, but he can defend himself if need be - which happens every now and then in the deep woods where he goes.

Trivia:
- His favourite weather is rain
- Plays the Erhu and violin
- Drinks a lot of tea
