So, just a WIP of the commission I'm working on. This is just a planning drawing as I am not happy with the pressure of the gun, the angles of their bodies or Saren's arm, or the size of his hand. But you get the idea.Oh uh, done in SAI

Incidently, I used Saren's 3D model to examine a pose tonight ... and he came with green organic eyes. I was like WHAT? But he looked absolutely gorgeous and it gave you some idea of what he must have looked like before indoctrination and Reaper enhancements.

The specifics for this one are facial cybernetics only, so no geth arm or tubes. I mean, I think the tubes wouldn't have been there otherwise... but now that you mention it, there really aren't a lot of pre-reaper Saren drawings out there. Kinda sad.

I ended up just flipping a screenshot of him to get an idea of what he might have looked like (because I'm stupid like that and can't imagine it otherwise) when I needed it earlier, heh. I'm sure he was quite stunning in his youth, before he got all twisted in both shape and mind ...

This looks like it's going to be amazing! I love seeing WIP's of your work. hmm the angles still work, but at least to me I always pictured Saren being alot taller. His hand looks okay with the size you have now. I suppose if you wanted to make it more dramatic you could always tilt the drawing so they're at a more extreme angle. hmm take two of your friends and pose them like this and snap a photo? Maybe that will help?

it's funny that you mentioned a different angle, because that's exactly what I've been working on. Something a little more dramatic... though I am tempted to show more of their bodies... I don't know. Not too sure about how this one is going to look in the end.

I really wish Saren was also brought back to life by Cerberus in ME2 to held Shepard with her mission. And he was romanceable. That would've been fuckin' GREAT.

Would be fun if the game had an option to recruit him at the final moment and giving away somebody else (Garrus? He's too cool, but...) like in Dragon Age!

bringing him back from the dead, still half turian/half machine, all conflicted about who he is and what his loyalties are would have been pretty fun.

And depending on Shepards influence, he becomes more Saren (paragon) or more machine (renegade) at the end.

Don't you like him? Compare him to what we've got in the other games... Harbinger, an enemy you never really encounter, and in ME3... Kai Leng? Nah, Saren all the way.

I felt sorry for Saren in the first game, but then I read the novel and I was like, "screw that, you're a bastard" and that sorriness went away...But...Yeah I see where you're going with this, he was the only real villain you faced in the whole serious...Hated Kai Leng so so so much...*sniff* Thane ;.;

I hated him not only for Thane, but in my first playthrough I was also not able to save Miranda, so he killed two of my former squadmates. Then he was always that ninja-guy jumping all over the place with his tiny sword and always destroying everything I tried. It's also not that he came from somewhere: He was just the new overpowered Cerberus dude.

Dude, I hated him in the book, I despised him in the game and he royally pissed me off on Thessia and with the little email he sent me. I think my grandparent's neighbors could hear all my torturous ways I planned to kill Kai Leng LOL

I really wished him to hit one of those things (you also get with Garrus up there, forgot the name) on the Citadel with his head when he was on Shepard's car.
After I read that he stole some cereals in the book, the whole character went a parody for me.

The whole cereal stealing thing did throw me for a loop but it didn't changed the fact that he is and will always be a bastard...Oh if there was a taunting button I could've pushed during my final fight with him my button on my controller and on my keyboard would be broken.
