I used a jigsaw to cut out the main part and a tiny hacksaw blade for the more detailed bits, Then used various different grades of sandpaper to get the edges nice and smooth.
Be careful if you use a Dremil or jigsaw as the the plastic that the case is made of is quite soft and will start to melt if it gets too hot, it's probably best to just use a hacksaw blade for your first time.
Best bet if you thinking of modding a console for the first time is probably to get a spare case off ebay or some online mod store, there quite cheap and then it won't matter so much if something goes wrong.
Take plenty of time doing it, the more time you spend on it the better it will turn out.

The painting process took quite some time. 5 coats of white primer and about 8 thin coats of white colour/top coat.
I wet sanded the case after 2 coats of primer and then again after 3 coats of colour to give it a nice smooth finish.

I'm not good at writing how-to's so I hope this helps , but if there is anything more specific you want to know just ask

Thanks, it did help I do have a few more questions tho, like, how did you get is to look indented like that? And what exactly were you painting? I mean, I get that you cut the shape in the main case, but then do you just..Get another peice of plastic, paint it, and put it under?

Thats exactly what I did. Once I had cut out the design I wanted I then got a square peice of clear perspex/acrylic and painted one side blue or red in the shadow one. And then mounted it from underneath. Thats what gives it the indented look.

(I used clear perspex with one side spray painted so when you view it from the non pained side it looks really glossy because you are looking at the paint throughthe 4mm thickness of the clear plastic. Hope that makes sense.)

When I was talking about painting in my previous post I was talking about painting the actiual main cases.

Both of my xbox's started off as the standard beige colour and I gave them a complete re-paint. The white one is now a brilliant white very similar to the wii as opposed to the off white it was before.

I have had quite a few people ask me the same thing but unfortunatley it never works out, normally due to total cost.
There would be 2 lots of postage + the price of the case + the price of the paint and my time (which I don't have alot of these days due to being bussy with my real job.)

So I don't think I could commit to making you a case at the moment.Thank you for the offer though I'm glad you like it so much ^^

However I do have plans to make one more Sonic xbox case and give it away for FREE!
It will be ready in a few months just in time for Sonic's birthday. So if you want a chance to win it check back then^^

I customized these xbox's myself, so the only way you can get it done to yours is to either do it yourself or get someone to do it for you.
