He is from a corrupted timeline caused by Hatered. He has voices in his head that tells him what to do. And he does them. At first it was little things, like getting everyone down in the dumps, or trashing something. Then they wanted more... so, they told him to kill monsters. He started to do so. Starting off with Papyrus. He would've killed everyone if monsters and humans worked together to get him under control. They put him in an insane asylum. He stayed there for years, talking to himself, drawing on the walls, and giggling. Occasionally, someone would go in there to feed them. But they would get killed once they gave him the food. Eventually, they just forgot about him and didn't communicate with him at all. 10 years of being alone, Hatered found him. He tried to attack, of course. But he failed and made a deal with Hatered. She got him freed and Insanity went on a full killing spree. Before he could finish, Hatered dragged him away from his timeline and deleted it. Now he is on a team with Shattertale Gaster and Hatered.
