Description
Commission for of his character Sapper who is a bit of a Steam-punk genius kind of superhero who gets by on his home-made inventions, luck and wits instead of muscle and power. He also lists himself as much as a sidekick as a super because he really shines when supporting other people in a fight.Character is a Grey fox who have a surprisingly complex fur pattern with lots of red, light tan and black. I'd have to come up with some kind of repeatable pattern if I was going to draw him a bunch of times.

Lookin' good, man! It's getting pretty apparent that when you invest a little extra time in the color, the result is wery wery nice. Also, having tackled gray foxes in the past, I feel your pain... it's a tricky coat to get a hold of. Then again, at least in my opinion, they're easier than leopards.

I get lazy on my spotted cats like snow leopards. I just do some random spots. I haven't had a serious commission of one of them yet so I haven't bothered to get a reference. For this guy I did use a reference.

It's always kind of tricky trying to abstract an animal's fur pattern from a photo, then apply it to a humanoid form, but in this case I think you did well.

Nice character, one who uses gadgets and machinery, and his brains to get through. Its funny, as one of my villains is similar to him, in a way.

I think it is good to see a villain that challenges the hero with something other than direct force. Even Lex Luthor who is supposed to be such a brain usually tries to defeat his arch-nemesis superman with some measure of pure power.
