Commission forHe asked me to create a male, bison, anthro super with a Native American theme and heat based powers. I decided to go for a character whose powers come more from the sun than just direct flame and plasma. There are so many supers with fire powers after all.
Character was very much inspired by ~AMTRAK 's character Arrowhead [link] who I've been doing a lot with lately. I've been doing a lot of pics of female supers lately and I think ~Ashkihyena wanted to see some males in there for a change. I have to admit, I do a lot more commissions involving the ladies than the guys.

Well, he is inspired by Arrowhead, which is the bovine female character I've been drawing a lot of. However, Arrowhead is inspired by Aquarius so in effect you are right.

A noble work of inspiration and devotion to one's friends, what an honor!
So, what's this hero's virtue? By that I mean what does he stand for? With comic characters (if not most hero's of any literature) a hero represents an ideal, like Superman is Hope, Wonderwoman is truth and the like.
The usage of light really liven's the art, while the fluent motion of the shawl adds a sense of dynamic action!...I like it, I seriously like it.

I don't have too much of a concept for him actually. Just drew what I was asked to based on the description from my comments. I leave it up the the customer to fill in those details.

Have you looked at one of my Journal entries that talks about a game I made, for creating creatures of unique fantasy? I made it from the concept of a book called Manga Matrix (sit back down!) You can use this game also in costume design, personality, and even power basing! It's great fun at parties, and kills artist block like gun to the head! Fufufufufufu

The whole Indian theme is making a strong comeback. I always used a lot of American Indians (My own heritage for the most part) Sierra was Cherokee/Cheyenne. Landslide was Cherokee/Seminole and eventually became a shaman
