val is a sketchy guy who usually resides in forests as a fox until he thinks of a good enough scheme to steal peoples dreams and ventures out to town. he prefers seaside towns, so he can visit his selkie friend eileen. val eats dreams for strength, each dream type (nightmare, lucid dream) has a different taste. val refuses to eat dreams from anyone in the 13-16 age bracket for obvious reasons
some of his methods of collecting dreams are:
- seducing people at bars and going home with them, waiting for them to fall asleep on the couch
- hosting a hypnotism office
- sneaking into colleges and sits next to tired students in class. he pretends to be a pharmacy student, his backpack only has nyquil bottles inside
- opening a psychic shop with sleep related products (nearly all items are fake and created with his magic) he usually pretends the store is going out of business and has a major sale before closing and popping up elsewhere
- as a last resort, he crawls through open bedroom windows in hotels
other trivia:
- he cant lie in beds or hell immediately slip into a coma until someone drags him out
- he taught himself how to purr in an effort to get people to sleep faster
- is wearing pajamas at all times, val has been fired several times for wearing a suit and sweatpants to office jobs
- will always offer chamomile tea in every meeting with another person, do NOT drink it he will spike it with sleeping pills
- allergic to energy drinks
