selkies have harsh lore, im letting eileen have a little fun like kitsunes get to

anyway,
whats eileen doing on land?

eileen is from a pod of harbor seal selkies, regular seals exist and selkies usually separate themselves from them. eileen transforms into her humanoid forms by crawling out of her seal forms mouth. its absolutely HORRID and nobody wants to see it
selkies can only turn back into seals if she still has her sealskin so she uses it in several types of clothing. her excuse to animal activists isnt taken well ("its my own skin!") her beastkin form is created with magic by her friend val. theyre basically the same type of species, it works out
eileen is usually helping out val find more people to steal dreams from or luring fisherman to steal their catches. shes very bored, taking any opportunity to turn human and do something stupid

trivia:
- she can walk on iceskating rinks without slipping
- eileen has been escorted out of several grocery stores for sampling the fish
- her cousin is a leopard seal selkie who visits every winter. he is very big
- shes been trying to get in the habit of cooking. other people get scared when she eats raw fish
- is a popular lifeguard in some seaside towns, little kids call her the resident mermaid
