Fanart of the X-com Apocalypse concept. Great game all
This is a speedpaint I did in about 3 hours. Not much detailing, but I think I captured alot of action anyway..

I like it. playing Apocalypse right now (on XP using DOSBox 0.73 program; just drag Xcomapoc file from game folder to the DOSBox icon on your desktop, have fun). my marines do not have such a rad armor yet though, will be available later on in the game?

yeah I used to play it on dosbox not that long ago as well.
oh, the armor painted here is based on the first armor set. I hadn't really played it in years, so I didn't remember the details

yeah, I'm glad you've did! I was planning to do my personal version of the UFOpaedia, too... from all the other ones like UFO Enemy Unknown, too. UFOpaedia is definately one of the most original things I've ever saw in videogame land... I can really take my time and read it page per page

The X-com series was great, I've been having cravings for the first game in the series, but it's so old it won't run on XP
This painting is great man, there is a good sense of action, and for speed paint you've got a good amount of detail in on the creatures.

i thougth speedpaint is like...1 hour and under, thing
but really it's great detailing in the armour
somehow reminds me of ukitakumuki's stuff

i love the aura of light shining behind them, but i dont like that metal chain at the bottom right to much... i dunno

the game is pretty old and dont run on XP. its a strategic combat game in 2d graphics.. but its great.. oh, those days
