Tutorial of the Egon DaLatz style
How to make a picture like this one?
If you got here by clicking on the link conveniently placed in the picture description, then let me explain why does the making of one single picture usually take me a week or more. Let's just say that I'm a maximalist and I want my drawings to be perfect. They are very precious to me, y'know.
To make things clear, I present my working methods on my pony pictures. Believe it or not, I create 2-4 scraps/drafts before I start making the final picture - therefore I can show you every single step.
(Note that I use this method not only to create ponie pictures, but other drawings too.)
So, here are the steps of drawing a picture in Egon DaLatz style:
1) Planning the picture in my mind
I know it sounds ridiculous, but do you know how frustrating a f*cked up picture can be? Let alone a picture wrongly planned and carried out? No thanks, I'd rather avoid this scenario.

- Indeed, Fluffle Puff, indeed!

I friggin' love Fluffle Puff! She has to be one - if not - the best non-canon character from the MLP:FiM universe. How can she be such a lovable "bastard"? Everything she does is hilarious: her frindship/relationship with you-know-who; her constant happiness and happy-go-lucky lifestyle; and this fluffy apperance. She could annoy me to death if I had the chance to meet her - which is, of course, 0%. (But I can dream, right?!) P-E-R-F-E-C-T! Mixermike622 : you are a genious, and you deserve a medal (of fur)!

By the way: I don't know whether you'll have the same experience as me when looking at this drawing, but I constantly thought of Fluffle as a pink, fluffy sheep while creating her and after finishing the picture. Does she resemble an actual sheep or did I go crazy this time? Comments on this matter will be highly appreciated!

Note: Mr. Scanner hates the color pink and purple - especially when both colors are pale. So before you ask, no, Fluffle Puff is not purple, she's pale pink in this picture, you only see a big distortion by my scanner. (The same with the background color, which is, in fact, pale purple.)
UPDATE: I've decided to create a new version without backgorund in dA muro and replace the original with this new one. The original will be displayed in Scraps. (Note: this artwork was altered only digitally, before you ask!)
UPDATE (October 19, 2015): I rescanned the picture. I hope you like the result.

- Go ahead! The stage is yours!
- Pffftftpfpfffttff! Pffftftpfpfffttff, pffftftpfpfffttff, pffftftpfpfffttff. Pffftft. Pffftftpfpfffttffpffftftpfpfffttff, pfft.
