Good choice; purple's a pleasing color. Is his hair red with white bangs?
Also, I'm wondering: when you decide on a color scheme, do you decide on it based on what works/adheres to color limits when/if it's put into sprite form (I refer to your KoF sprites of Ego, foremost), or just if the colors work well together? Or a combination of both?

I haven't made a KoF Ego sprite in like.. a year. So no, I just do whatever looks good.
I tried to stick with primary colors since Ego is a main character, but I figured it'd be sufficient to just use it on his head. I definitely wanted to use purple, and it only looked good with itself on his body... so that's what I decided.
