What's the story behind this? From my perspective, I see that there were two men, and the woman chose the one who is now dead, which made the one holding the skull furious, so he killed her lover in vengeance. Am I right?

The eyes are done beutifully, this picture is quite the oxymoron. People would assume that she was the innocent maiden and he the evil man due to the skull he is holding but it is the opposite. I love that.

You are half right. THe story is, her tribe was killed by the man's tribe. She can't forget the hatred and want to revenge for her people. The man was sent by his people to stop her, they know that she won't kill himXD(so sly) About the Thorns, they are both demons of flowers, the woman can use rose to kill people, making them sleep forever.

Well you speak it suprisingly well- ;___; I wish I was multilingual the most I can ever do is come up with a few broken phrases in french! Ahhh- that's such a cool story line- a bit like the Wizard of Oz with the fields of deadly poppies 
Titus Groan- is.... okay they are better know as The Gormenghast Trilogy- they made a BBC production about them a couple of years ago, the author is someone called Mervin Peake- he was an artist who used to draw pictures of the dead in the 2nd world war- the whole story is...twisted in on itself? (if that makes any sense) they've translated the books into loads of different languages, so you might be able to read it with out any problem. Erh...it's about- well,

I've read the webpage. I can't find the word"Gormenghast" in my dictionaryXD. I'm so stupid. I want to find its CHinese version, but I don't know how they translated it.
The illus are awesome, very artistic and deep, I can imagine how deep the fic is.

It's sort of a tragic ending- but the writer had a nervous break down so it doesn't make sense, there's this character called Fushia- and well....you have to read it ...sorry that's reeeallly unhelpful, but the books title is just a name anyway so the translated title should still read either, The Gormengast Trilogy, or Titus Groan (for the first book), Gormengast (for the second book) or Titus Alone (for the third and last book)
He used to illustrate children's books so he's got this really macabre style and the story line is pretty weird and wonderful (there are pages of description).
