For those of you expecting me to jump headfirst into mythology (since it's a mythology-focused story), don't worry -- that will come very soon! The story of TCotC, however, features a blend of both science and magic -- that is, it's fantastical realism. I want to establish a setting where hard science as we know it is still perfectly viable, but that an inexplicable thing -- magic -- has entered the system somehow, altering the balance of life and history itself.
