This is a character I've been working on, hopefully for a DevArt calendar, but it looks like all the images won't be finished before the Xmas trade's done with. [sigh]

Anyway, the blue haired boy in the center is Zak Herringer, the Cosplay Shota. He's the son of Clara Herringer, a single mom, commercial photographer, anime otaku, and self-proclaimed Semi-Serious Otaku Artist. She may also have something of a shota complex. Certainly, she came up with the title of "the cosplay shota" to stir up controversy for her Zak work.

Zak has practically been raised in the otaku cosplay culture and has done some some genuine character cosplay. But for the publicized work, Clara and Zak came up with series of generic and original characters.

This is from an interactive game they worked on called Fairy Foster Child that absorbed a good four months of their lives. With a huge set of photos and videos, it's a Princess Maker-inspired fantasy world parenting simulator- although covering only one year.
