Strength… Quarters straining, pushing forward.

Stamina… Reaching deeper with every breath, nostrils billowing mist in the cool air.

Heart… What every horse has to give at the top of the stretch.

Well, we didn't win. Or place. I guess that'll teach me to put so much effort into random contests eh? If anyone is interested in prints of these I'd be happy to clean them up and submit them since I'm proud regardless. They are probably the best pieces in my gallery.

Part 1 of my Winter Solstice entries, a little bit of pre-race dream sequence. Everything is all soft and undefined, and ties in with my little poem thing up there. That is obviously Blaze's eye, and I was having another try at semi-realism. Had fun with reflections, although it didn't turn out as well as I'd hoped. The concept was good though There is also a second poem that runs through all four entries, underneath the navigation and title in the comments box.
