Are all these monsters actually from japanese myths and legands or are some of them original?
I ask because some of the monster's I've never heard of in any of the myths. of course, i'm sure there's a lot of the stories I don't know lol.

Most are my own design, but a majority of the older things in my gallery are straight from the minds of crazy island folk.
What I do is read about a legend then derive a character around what I hear.

This is really great! One one hand, it's reminiscent of jinmen-gyo, and on the other, it's almost a splitting image of a blob sculpin . XD Only with human arms and breasts.

Nin is 'man', gyo is fish (which I only found out about due to the jinmen-gyo phenomenon). Ningyou is doll, I think.
