Description A close up of a pink rose 1:1.5 Mag.

This is one of the rare roses i found as a perfect demonstration to the Fibonacci curve/ Golden spiral! I just couldn't stop myself from crabbing my macro lens and capture the moment!

The Fibonacci Curve

As an architect i have made a lot of researches about the Golden Ratio and how it's found in every natural thing on our planet, Which really inspired me through out my career that i actually designed one of my college projects using the golden section. It was one the the most difficult projects i have ever worked on since it was an aquarium too, but i cant deny it was fun and it really made me look at things with a whole new perspective

The Nautilus Aquarium
Designed and modeled by me in 2007

yknow I never knew nature understood math, it's certainly interesting to see so many things modeled after one equation by a force that has no understanding but of itself!

ever wondered why that is?

WOW. I was singing that song from Sessemee Street, the one that goes 'One of these things is not like the other, one of these things is just not the same' (Don't ask. I was intertaining my much younger sibling) and I sang this: 'One of these things is not like th--WHOA! THAT'S AMAZING!!!!! I'm DEFINATELY faving this wondderful piece of art! And congetulations on the Daily Deviations, by the way!

The funny thing is that I have recently done a lot of thinking regarding the Fibonacci Sequence, and am working on designing a simple program to calculate the values for numbers belonging to the Fibonacci Sequence on into infinity.

Anyway, great piece - the presence of the Fibonacci curve is quite obvious in the pattern of the flower petals.

This looks beautifully elegant, I've never seen such a perfect Fibonacci spiral in a rose. You're an architect? That's really interesting, I want to become an architect when I'm an adult.

Nature never ceases to amaze me...

The Fibonacci curve is such a marvel of nature isn't it?
I just love how perfect this photo demonstrates the curve, a truly excellent example and beautiful shot!
I would make an excellent artwork as a canvas on a wall I think

Nature Is Divine Art

Nature is not the printer, it is the press;

It is not the inscriber, but the inscription; it is not the doer, it is the recipient; It is not the source, but the pattern. It is not the orderer, it is the order;

It is not the power, but the law; it is a code of laws proceeding from the attribute of will; it has no external reality.

The very essence of ART comes
from within the artist themselves.
We could all paint the same
picture and yet each would be
unique.
I love all forms of art.
Photography, digital, factal,
Literature(of course) but to
me true art has to come from
the heart.
This piece is one such work
of ART and an instantof mine...
